It is true that high blood pressure symptoms are not always visible to the eye but this does not mean that there are not obvious signs to look out for. Having this condition can affect both men and women at any time. It can occur more commonly in people who smoke, are over weight, live a high stressed existence, do not regularly exercise and do not eat healthy. If you are someone like this then you are known of as a high risk. I suggest you go to your doctor for a check up now!

If this is the case for you and you are diagnosed with this condition then you are at risk of a heart attack, stroke and even kidney disease. All of these can be fatal! In saying this, it doesn’t mean things cannot be reversed. Yes you can do something about this! First off you need to see your doctor to check out these high blood pressure symptoms or signs. Once you have been told that you are in the high catergory then you may need to go on medication straight away to bring it down. Once on medication though, you usually stay on it. You should try to avoid this.

Taking medication in itself maybe ok as it helps lower you blood pressure, which is important, but what you should be doing is trying to get it down by living a healthier lifestyle. Lose weight, quit smoking, cut out added suger and salt, exercise and try to cut back on stress. Ok, so the stress factor may be harder than you think but once you are healthier you will also feel better in other ways as well.

Some people have been known to show some form of symptom that can include fatigue, dizziness, headaches, blurred vision, nausea but of course these could also be signs of many other conditions. So I suppose the one important thing to remember apart from keeping fit and healthy is regularly visiting your doctor. Having check ups to keep on top of things. It isn’t just high blood pressure symptoms that should be a concern to you but many other factors that can contribute to bad health. This is true especially as we age. Check ups and preventative measures are always the best option to living a full healthy life.

As I said before many people won’t know that they have high blood pressure as it is not a major visible condition but there are signs to look out for that can contribute to this. Take a good look at yourself and your life style and please go to the doctors for regular check ups. Life is too important to let slip away just because we live busy lives. Our work and families deserve us to be healthy.

Hypertension is a medical condition where blood pressure is high, forcing strongly against the blood vessel walls. This would increase the workload of the heart – causing it to work harder than it should. Hypertension could cause the blood vessels to explode which is fatal or other problems to the coronary arteries, eyes, kidneys and brain which is equally damaging.

There are two types of hypertension – primary and secondary. Primary hypertension is closely related to the patient’s lifestyle while secondary hypertension is caused by other medical conditions – kidney and liver failure are known to be causes of secondary hypertension.

Symptoms or Signs of Hypertension

These symptoms are not mandatory in condition of hypertension, but if you suspect or find it unsettling, do take a blood pressure test at your local medical center.

1. Chest pains – A heavy crushing pain in the chest; in laymen’s term it feels like someone is standing on your chest.
2. Nosebleed
3. Urinal bleed – blood in urine.
4. Tiredness and regularly experience confusion
5. Changes or blurring of vision

Causes of Primary Hypertension and Prevention

Lack of physical activity: Most of the causes for primary hypertension are caused by the lifestyle factor. The lack of physical activity could, first of all, increase cholesterol levels. Rising cholesterol levels narrows the blood vessel, thus increasing the pressure of blood flow – hypertension. Prevention can then be done maintaining a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity (jogging or walking) could reduce cholesterol induced hypertension. Taking precautions against diabetes could also help because diabetes are normally related to hypertension.

Tobacco products: It is uncertain whether it is the tobacco, or nicotine in tobacco products that are the exact cause of hypertension. But the facts are smokers are at higher risk of suffering from hypertension. This may be explained by the fact that nicotine increases blood pressure temporarily but there are arguments that nicotine patches do not increase blood pressure. No matter the case, anyone can prevent hypertension by staying away from tobacco products especially cigarettes and users – smokers.

Alcohol: The factual statistics shows that between 30% – 60% of alcoholics suffer from hypertension. Although there are no medically or scientifically proven tests that results in the conclusion that alcohol is a cause of hypertension, do use your common sense by judging the statistics and stay away from alcohols because it increases your risk of suffering hypertension.

Sodium: Excessive intake of salt or salty foods could lead to hypertension as sodium tends to increase the blood pressure. Notice that the term ‘tends to’ is applied. This is because only those who are sensitive or responsive to sodium would have their blood pressure react to excessive sodium intake. However, to play it safe, it is advisable to cut down on food intakes that contain high levels of salt such as salty snacks, pickled foods, processed foods, etc.

Stress: Blood pressure levels increase as stress increases. The only prevention for stress induced hypertension is to calm down and do not response to hectic circumstances. Take things less seriously or light, you health is far more important and therefore whatever that causes stress is just not worth your time or attention.

Are you diagnosed with high blood pressure? Are you sick of feeling tired in the morning and not knowing why?

You might not realize that both hypertension (high blood pressure) and sleep apnea (sleep disorder when your breathing stops) are related to each other. Recent research has found high blood pressure patients are more inclined to have a higher prevalence of sleep apnea. This research might explain why your spouse is always complaining about your snoring and why you always feel tired throughout the day.

Though things might sound bleak now, you can actually lower high blood pressure naturally and increase your levels of quality sleep with a few lifestyle changes.

And it might be simpler than you think!

Do you have high blood pressure?

Do you suffer from a cardiovascular disease? If you run the risk of high blood pressure, it would be recommended that you start treatment ASAP. High blood pressure has been nicknamed the ’silent killer’ because there are no symptoms to the disease which claims almost 50,000 lives each year. It has been stated that almost 1 and 3 adults are now walking time-bombs of hypertension.

Hypertension could be caused by any of the following factors: excessive alcohol consumption, high sodium (salt) intake, being overweight or obese, having high cholesterol, not exercising, high levels of stress, a poor diet or low levels of potassium, magnesium and calcium in your diet.

And the good news! You can lower high blood pressure in two weeks if you choose to be pro-active with simple nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Do you suffer from sleep apnea?

You might have sleep apnea and not even know it. About 10 percent of Americans stop breathing in their sleep and suffer from sleep apnea. It has been reported that an average suffer can stop breathing in their sleep, sometimes up to 100 times an hour, every hour. And over time, the body’s sympathetic nervous system sets up an inflammatory response in the blood vessels causing increased high blood pressure. This sleep apnea phenomena causes a vicious cycle which could be fatal over time.

Sleep apnea suffers usually have the following symptoms: heavy snoring, periodic breathing stoppages, fatigue, high blood pressure, daytime headaches, and possible diabetes.

Naturally Lower High Blood Pressure and Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Do you remember how your teacher used to hark about the cause and effect? The cause of a problem will always create an effect! And it turns out, she was right. High blood pressure causes numerous problems including sleep apnea.

But the good news is this! If you lower high blood pressure naturally, you will also reverse the effects of sleep apnea and lead a much healthier life. In fact, you might also safe your life in the process!

But how do you naturally lower high blood pressure?

It could be as simple as the DASH Diet. It could be as simple as eating a few specific nuts every day. It could be as simple as 4 easy tips that will help you live stress-free. It could be as simple as taking the proper supplements and vitamins? It could be as simple as the hypertension miracle vegetable? Or it could be as simple as following our step-by-step 10 tip plan to normalized your blood pressure for good!

Are you tired of thinking about the ‘what ifs’? If you would like to lower your high blood pressure, get a good night’s sleep and stop worrying about the silent-killer, then you are a perfect candidate for our Lower High Blood Pressure Naturally Remedy Report.

High blood pressure could suffer you very much as it can lead you plenty of diseases such as heart attack, renal diseases and so on. To protect is the best choice of us. Anyway if you are having high blood pressure problem, do not be worry as there are many high blood pressure treatments.

Many people are diagnosed these days with high blood pressure problem, which is a direct reflection on an unhealthy lifestyle that we tend to lead. With companies pushing employees to do more and more, annual raises getting less and less, and the threat of unemployment if you push back, it is no wonder that high blood pressure problem is a common ailment that people complain about.

There are many blood pressure treatments; you should really consider natural remedies, as well as a lifestyle change, to more effectively combat this problem. Based on the effectiveness shown, even doctors and researchers are beginning to lean in this direction.

A balanced diet is the one choice of high blood treatment which if done correctly, will lower your blood pressure and ease the problem of high blood pressure. There are a variety of foods that is natural high blood treatment. Foods like fish with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids all play a role in dilating blood vessels, relaxing muscles, and overall allowing more efficient blood flow in your body.

Vegetables are also good for a high blood pressure treatment and vegetarians have strikingly lower blood pressure. Vegetables should preferably be taken raw. If they are cooked, it should be ensured that their natural juices are not burnt in the process of cooking. Vegetables like cucumber, carrot, tomato, onion, radish, cabbage and spinach are best taken in their raw form. The intake of salt should be restricted; in any case it should not be taken more than four grams or half a teaspoon a day. Baking powder, containing sodium carbonate, should also be avoided.

Garlic is regarded as one of the most effective high blood pressure treatment. The pressure and tension are reduced because it has the power to ease the spasm of the small arteries. Garlic also slows the pulse and modifies the heart rhythm, besides relieving the symptoms of dizziness, numbness, and shortness of breath and the formation of gas within the digestive tract. The average dosage should be two to three capsules a day to make a dent in the blood pressure.

The use of olive oil in diet may support high blood pressure treatment. Middle aged men with high blood pressure a few years ago concluded that the amount of monounsaturated fat in three tablespoons of olive oil a day could lower systolic pressure about nine points and diastolic pressure about six points. More remarkable, a study found that a mere two-thirds of a tablespoon of olive oil daily reduced blood pressure by about five systolic points and four diastolic points in men.

For high blood pressure and stress, you may also want to consider the health and medical benefits of aromatherapy, as an alternative way of high blood pressure treatment, which not only helps with your mental state to relax you, but has also been proven to help from a medical perspective.

So the high blood pressure treatments mostly include a mix of medication and a disciplined lifestyle. Here it must be noted that none of high blood pressure treatment will work if taken independently. Someone with high blood pressure treatment needs to follow the prescriptions punctually meanwhile adopting a health lifestyle marked by a controlled diet and regular workout or physical exercise.

Finally, one must also realize that an existing issue of high blood pressure could be aggravated by activities like smoking, drinking, and medicines containing steroids. Therefore, high blood pressure treatment is to take care to avoid such things as well from one’s daily activities.

Hypertension can be classified either essential (primary) or secondary. Essential hypertension indicates that no specific medical cause can be found to explain a patient’s condition. Secondary hypertension indicates that the high blood pressure is a result of (i.e., secondary to) another condition, such as kidney disease or tumours (pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma). Persistent hypertension is one of the risk factors for strokes, heart attacks, heart failure and arterial aneurysm, and is a leading cause of chronic renal failure.

Cause and Pathogenesis

The cause of primary (essential) hypertension is not known. It is thought to be due to multiple risk factors. Known risk factors include a familial history of the disease, race, obesity, tobacco smoking, stress, and a high-fat or high-sodium diet in genetically susceptible individuals. Extremely nervous and highly emotional people also tend to develop hypertension more readily. Secondary hypertension is related to an underlying disease process such as renal parenchymal disorders , renal artery disease, endocrine and metabolic disorders, central nervous system disorders, and narrowing of the aorta (coarctation).

Causes Pulmonary Hypertension: Pulmonary hypertension results from constriction, or tightening, of the blood vessels that supply blood to the lungs. Consequently, it becomes difficult for blood to pass through the lungs, making it harder for the heart to pump blood forward. This stress on the heart leads to enlargement of the heart and eventually fluid can build up in the liver and tissues, such as the in the legs. Affected patients can sometimes notice increasing shortness of breath and dizziness.

What are the symptoms of Hypertension?

If you have hypertension, chances are that you may not have any symptoms at all. Hypertension is often called the “silent killer” because most people who have it do not feel sick, but if left uncontrolled, it can lead to a heart attack or kidney disease. This is why it is so important to treat hypertension even if you feel fine. Many people can keep their hypertension under control by making some changes in their daily activities, such as increasing exercise and eating a healthier diet. Other people may need to take medicine in addition to diet and/or exercise.

Hypertension Treatment

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is dangerous because it can lead to strokes, heart attacks, heart failure, or kidney disease. The goal of hypertension treatment is to lower high blood pressure and protect important organs, like the brain, heart, and kidneys from damage. Treatment for hypertension has been associated with reductions in stroke (reduced an average of 35%-40%), heart attack (20%-25%), and heart failure (more than 50%), according to research.

Treating high blood pressure can help prevent serious ? even life-threatening ? complications. Your doctor also may suggest steps to control conditions that can contribute to high blood pressure, such as diabetes and high cholesterol.

The treatment for secondary pulmonary hypertension usually begins with treating the underlying cause. For instance, if a blood clot, or pulmonary embolism, is causing the hypertension, the clot may need to be surgically removed.

For individuals with hypertension, lifestyle modifications as mentioned above are important but many times, medications will also be needed to adequately manage blood pressure. Many types of drugs are used to lower blood pressure.

Hypertension, high blood pressure (as it is commonly known), is at epidemic proportions in America. Second only to heart disease, almost 23,000 deaths were attributed to “hypertension” in 2004, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. The NCHS also placed the percentage of deaths for non-institutionalized people, due to “hypertension”, at 29% for the years 2001-2004. What cause of hypertension or symptom of high blood pressure has left Americans to miss the boat on this “Silent Killer.” Why are so many dying in America from hypertension when fewer, percentage-wise, are stricken in countries like France, Spain, and Italy?

The answer to that question is a double-edge sword, so to speak. The cause of high blood pressure and the cure for high blood pressure intertwine when we discuss a high blood pressure diet and herbs for high blood pressure. Over the years, a consensus has agreed that there must be something in the diet of the Europeans that is woefully lacking in the American diet. And indeed there is, the main cause of hypertension in America is diet and stress.

Once diagnosed with hypertension, a high blood pressure diet is usually prescribed to supplement the medication a doctor puts you on. This high blood pressure diet will consist of foods high in lycopene, a very effective antioxidant. Tomatoes (and tomato sauce and paste) contain the highest concentration of this cure for high blood pressure. Unfortunately, you would need to consume four tomatoes a day to positively impact hypertension. The great news is, a study conducted in Israel proved that taking a tomato extract supplement significantly reduced blood pressure levels after just four weeks. A 200 mg tomato supplement will provide the equivalent of over four tomatoes.

Another natural cure for high blood pressure that most likely explains the reduction of hypertension in Europeans compared to Americans is in the health significance of grape juice and red wine. Grapes are known to contain antioxidants and other phytonutrients (nutrients derived from plants). They have a small amount of fiber that is good for the heart and digestive system. Both grape juice and red wine are rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients. Also the moderate intake of red wine offers some protection against heart disease, which is an accompaniment to hypertension.

Some herbs for high blood pressure are Allium Sativa, more commonly known as “Garlic,” and the Hawthorn Berry. Several scientific studies have shown that garlic helps lower blood pressure, and serum cholesterol levels. In fact Europeans have used garlic as a hypertension herbal remedy for centuries. While the hawthorn berry is known for its ability to enhance metabolism and increase oxygen into the bloodstream. This allows for protection of the arterial walls and dilation of the heart’s blood vessels, thus improving the pumping of the heart cells. This helps reduce blood pressure as expanded blood vessels allow the blood to move more freely throughout the body.

I have only scratched the surface of the cause of high blood pressure to be increased in Americans over the Europeans. As I have shown in this limited space, it is primarily linked to the differences in our diets. Healing hypertension can be accomplished.

High Blood Pressure also called hypertension, is elevated pressure of the blood in the arteries. Blood pressure is the measurement of force applied to artery walls High blood pressure has to be taken seriously. It is a serious disease, the cause of which is more or less unknown. What we do know is that left untreated, high blood pressure over time can lead to serious heart disease and other vascular troubles, even death. Health professionals think that there are some genetic factors but as yet they cannot pin down the range of specific genes involved that cause high blood pressure. Studies suggest that people suffering from chronic high blood pressure may come from autonomic nervous system that controls heart rate, blood pressure and the blood vessels.

High blood pressure is strongly associated with diabetes, both type 1 and type 2. Obesity and insulin resistance are the factors associated with high blood pressure, in type 2 diabetes, the more common type. During the last decade, the number of Americans with high blood pressure has increased by 30%. Over 65 million Americans adults now have high blood pressure. Two thirds of Americans over age 60 have high blood pressure and women in that group have highest rates and higher mortality rates from high blood pressure. About 34% of African American men and women have high blood pressure, it may account for over 40% of all deaths in this group. Moreover, high blood pressure is becoming more common in children and teenage.

Detrimental effects of high blood pressure

It is the reason why high blood pressure has been called the “silent killer”. High blood pressure has detrimental effects on many organs like kidneys, eyes, and heart. High blood pressure is the primary cause of death in over 120,000 cases last year and contributes to 75% of all strokes and heart attacks and even more in African Americans. Research suggests that people with mild high blood pressure have three times more likely to have a heart attack as people with normal blood pressure and ten times the normal risk of stroke depending on the severity of the blood pressure. High blood pressure can also cause mental problems such as memory lost .

Fortunately, controlling blood pressure with the proper treatment can reduce or prevent those health complications. Healthy life style is a must for anyone with blood pressure (120/80mm Hg) and above in order to prevent serious complications of that disease.

Healthy life style includes: exercise on a daily basis, normal weight, healthy diet, reasonable alcohol consumption, limited sodium intake, more potassium and calcium intake. If you want to naturally support healthy blood pressure function, there are some key herbal supplements.
